Partner Event: Data Science Meet-up – Improving our teams’ learning cultures

6:00 - 8:00 PMNortheastern University Vancouver campus, 410 West Georgia St., Vancouver, BC

Northeastern University – Vancouver is the host sponsor of the Vancouver Data Science Meet-ups where data scientists (and future data scientists) discuss varied topics of interest.

February 22 Meet-up: Improving our teams’ learning cultures

What does your data science or software team do to prioritize learning? How are new team members on-boarded? Is your team incurring hidden costs to productivity because figuring out how things work takes longer than it could? The answers to questions like these define a team’s learning culture.

This roundtable discussion will consist of a short introduction followed by guided group discussions on learning cultures in our workplaces. We will reflect on our experiences and come up with tangible things we can do to improve the learning cultures we are a part of.

Upcoming data science reading group are happening on February 28, March 13, March 27, April 10, April 24, May 8, May 22, and June 5. Learn more about these events: https://www.meetup.com/learndatascience/events/
