Augmenting Indigenous Realities
Led by Michael Running Wolf (Northeastern University — Vancouver), this session is an introduction to conducting ethical data collection of digitized cultural artifacts through the perspective of Indigenous Data Sovereignty. Michael will provide an overview of respecting Indigenous knowledge systems while assembling assets and narratives in AR/VR avoiding exploitative practices.
